The Message Composer allows you to send one-off messages to individual contacts or entire groups.
The message composer is the easiest, fastest way to schedule messages to individuals or groups. Click here to follow an interactive tutorial or follow along with the instructions below when logged into the Skipio app.
To schedule a one-off message, select the New Message button below the Skipio logo. It's the pencil icon.
The side panel will open with a New Message window. Select Add Contacts in the New Message window to choose which contacts and/or groups you want to message.
To add contacts, search by name, phone number, or choose the contacts from the contact list. Add contacts to the message by checking the box next to a contact's first name, and then select Confirm.
Add a whole group to the message by selecting the Groups tab, checking the box next to the Group Name, and then selecting Confirm.
Type your message into the Message section of the New Message window. You will see the Message Mentor and a message preview appear in real time. The Message Mentor helps you write more effective messages that are more likely to get you responses.
To personalize your messages, add your custom merge fields by selecting the Merge Field icon, or typing [field name]. Example: To add a contact's first name, type [contact's first name]. You can also add emojis, ringless voicemails, images and files, or use a message template from your Message Library during this step.
To schedule your messages for a later time, select the Clock icon in the New Message window. Next, select the date and time you would like the messages to be sent. Finally, select Done.
Finish scheduling your messages by selecting the Send On button. This will schedule your message to each contact or group that you selected.
Remember that any message you send from the message composer counts toward your monthly outbound limit. So scheduling a message to three people will use up three of your monthly outbound messages.
